RULES:
- There are no restrictions on what you may add onto your pony. The only requirement is you keep the basic tail. Any suggestions for official traits are welcome! You can add it in your description, comment on the concept sketch/ref, or right here for other contestants to see.
- Bases are allowed and welcomed, and the same goes for your original art.
- You may enter multiple times, but only one of your ponies can win.
- Drawing extra art of your entry will increase your chance of winning. Such as, instead of just a profile view, make a few extra sketches or even a full-on reference sheet!
- Nothing, and I repeat, NOTHING NSFW. Gore/blood are fine.
- No character themes! Nothing from MLP, SU, anime, etc. If I see too much similarity with copyrighted characters or receive complaints about your character you will be disqualified.
- No harassing other entrants. No guilt-tripping, begging, trolling or copying. If I see this happening and/or receive complaints you will be disqualified.
- Put "achoo" in your comment to prove you read the rules.
- You must post your entry on to deviantArt. No sta.sh links are allowed (dA posts so I can add them to the contest entry folder). When you submit, please include "MYO CONTEST" in your title (you can add anything else, such as - "Cookie - MYO Contest entry"). You must also include a link to this journal in your description. (This is a replacement for advertising in a journal/poll. If you would like to advertise a different way, please ask.)
- Your main entry must be a form of visual art. Anything like literature should be a side entry/add-on to your main.
- Traditional, digital, any form of visual art is accepted.
I tried to keep the prizes small that weren't the actual MYO part of the contest. I want people to enter because they like the species, not because they're short on points.
All prize donors will receive a cleaned head/bustshot sketch of one of their characters. Please include what you'd like to donate and if you have any specific place in mind.
For every prize you donate, I will make you a head/bustshot sketch. Please keep in mind points are counted as one, art may be counted as one (such as 2 sketchpages would count as 1 prize) and other prizes will be determined when offered.
